Jim Rider to remain disciplined in synth like massive
Like most people, I use a lot of basslines. I know this sounds like a very simple but effective thing; I like to open a cutoff at the end of each phrase (for example to damage, down or when introducing new elements or melodies) to make listeners know something different will happen, then when you make points, you just close it again to return to the more complete bass.
I also sometimes only open it steadily throughout the track, it is smooth but increases energy when the track develops.
Honestly, sometimes they are the best left alone. I use the “Baby Cybermen” patch in the new remix that I made from “Autobahn” Kraftwerk. I know I have a patch and melody that I want, so I joke with it for hours (and not anywhere). I finally really just rearrange and use a preset with a few very small tweaks. So I think the initial votes are as important as trying to tame patches.
